Blaueishütte in Ramsau

Nice hike for advanced. From the Hintersee it is about 2.5 hours uphill. From the hut (1680 meters above sea level) you have a beautiful view of the Hintersee and the glacier. There is a lot of choice in the hut. The cake is perfect and you really get "something honest" for your money. Be careful, the wind whistles up there even in summer ;-) The short tour is definitely recommended!

The ascent from the Hintersee parking lot is really worth seeing and should be seen. The first hut is very accommodating with delicious soups and homemade cakes a must. Once at the top, great views and just great. The landlord or tenant, however, is a grandlubber of first choice. Super unfriendly and just annoyed. The schnitzel was good but not anymore. The goulash soup too. The Kaiserschmarn was dripping with fat in the plate. So overall not that great. Apparently the tenant or landlord was alone on the mountain too long. He should go into therapy or stop.

One A up there! You can look down into the valley and see the Hintersee from there. Food is good and sufficient. The service is very friendly. I can only recommend it!

A hut in a breathtaking landscape. The terrace is a dream and the food was great too! The service staff was friendly, the tables were cleaned or disinfected after each visit due to Corona. Well worth a visit!

Very strenuous hike to the Blaueishütte, but the view is worth the effort. Surrounded by mountains and glaciers. D.A.V. hosts hut. You should have seen it.

Sensational. It was a great tour up, easy to manage for experienced even with a child. Once at the top, you can be pampered with culinary delights as it should be in a hut. We would love to come back!

After you have already made the way to the Schärtenalm, you should take the approx. 50 minutes to the Blaueishütte with you. We'd rather not talk about the way up ... Alta! At the top, however, you are fully compensated with a view down to the Hintersee and up to the Blaueis Glacier ... absolutely beautiful! In addition, great food and nice staff. Mountaineers can stay here and beginners practice the ascent. Always happy here!

Very good and affordable hostel with good food. Furthermore, there are several hiking trails and climbing routes in the immediate vicinity of the hostel, which are also highly recommended.

The hut is beautifully situated and a dream. The tour options are terrific and there is something for every taste. However, the hut staff is very rude. You don't feel comfortable here, and certainly not as a guest. No thanks, I will not go to this hut again under this management. I didn't like the two days at the Blaueishütte at all. I cannot recommend it.

Very great hut with great food. Climbing areas are close and you can spend the whole day busy. Again any time.

Amazing view of the Blaueisgletscher and the surrounding peaks. Rooms to rent and good selection of food and drinks. Surprisingly, you can pay by EC card.

Very nice personnel (and other guests) and nice food for everyone. The only downside I experienced are a little too small rooms and a public bathroom and outlets for charging. But that’s probably because I was used to more luxury hotels. For a hütte, this is perfect - you should probably not expect super-luxury. The view is breathtaking and nice hiking/climbing possibilities. I did a alpine course here. Luckily, Everyone understood my English. The only fixable problem is that the electric hand dryer is way too loud. Like I am standing next to a industrial drill.

Who loves little and bad food, unfriendly staff and grubby huts, must not stay overnight at the Blaueishütte. Since I prefer the opposite, I will not have been up there for the last time. Conclusion: one of the best huts I have been to and that was not a few.

Great overnight stay, in an incredible location. Good price WiFi ...... taken plenty of 50cents for the shower !!!!

Great hut with very good equipment and friendly owner. It was fun to stay here as a team, even when the weather outside was rather foggy. One reason to come back is definitely the great view of the mountain panorama and the Blue Ice Glacier. Everything perfect.
